Everybody needs a Plan B. This diverse emcee has been seen rockin mics from his native Los Angeles across the border to Mexico and all the way to Japan. Plan B began rhyming at the age of 12. Before that he had a fascination with recording his voice mimicking characters and sounds. His older siblings first exposed him to hip-hop culture and he will never forget that fateful late night as a kid at a burger stand where he witnessed his first emcee battle that sparked his love of the rap game. He began writing and rhyming to anyone who would listen. He knew he had to be extra clever to get respect and recognition in the competitive rap world and he eventually earning his alias Plan B, for stepping up when others fell short. Eventually he was introduced to Cory “C-note” Yothers, brother of Tina Yothers from the hit television series Family Ties. C-note was impressed with his raw talent and lyrical skills, and began teaching him the fundamentals of songwriting and recording. Plan B simultaneously put himself through recording engineering school to better understand the technical aspect of his craft and took internships at record labels and street team/record pools. Plan B has been in many groups over the years perfecting his craft, and ultimately was instrumental in forming the successful Latin fusion hip-hop group La Verdad rapping in English and Spanish. As a member of La Verdad he has been fortunate enough to work with former Gypsy King guitar player Valerio, award winning percussionist Ritchie Gajate, Mariachi Divas and members of Sonora Dinamita. He has had many songs published on popular television shows such as “Bones”, “The Shield”, “Day Break”, “Burn Notice” and most recently on the “Step Up 3D” movie trailer in theatres now. Plan B is an important part of La Verdad, but also ghost writes for various artists, designs custom jingles and theme songs, and is working on a solo project due out in 2011. Plan B has very diverse styles from hard hitting raps to melodic hooks. His talent, personality, and intriguing look are guaranteed to earn him a spot as one of the premier artists around the globe.
